Anyone else with an iPhone XR think the colour of their phone is getting darker, the more I look at mine the more I dislike the colour

I really doubt your iPhone color is "getting darker".

I think it’s because under different lighting it just looks different all the time, I can never appreciate the colour because it’s always changing, I think i prefer yellow
I think the coral is awesome and that’s the colour I’ve got my XR in. I wouldn’t say it’s getting darker but it does look quite different in different light, that’s part of its unique awesomeness
It shouldn’t be changing at all.
Take photos and document it in a very exact way over a period of time and see if there’s a difference.

Anodized aluminum (which is what the XR coating is) will fade over time. Any part of the phone that's not protected from light by a case will eventually turn lighter depending on how much daylight exposure it gets. The part that's under the case will then appear darker (than the faded parts).
Haha if it wasn’t for the coral colour I would still probably have the iPhone 7. I have since obviously come to appreciate how much better the XR is in every other way since I started using it, but I would be lying if I said the coral colour (and full screen/notch design) wasn’t the main reason why I decided to upgrade
