Already I own an X an 8 and an Honor 10 so don't need a new phone.

The X is my workhorse, has my main sim in it and I don't think I want to change this.

The 8 I use when I'm in bed, mainly for reading, listening to music or podcasts but I'd like a bigger screen. The Honor 10 was just my way of keeping abreast of what android has to offer and I hardly ever use it.

But I like the look of the Xr so much that I don't think there will be any way I can resist it - it will largely replace the 8.

Money isn't really the object but when would be the best time to sell the 8? Now, or 6 weeks time when the Xr will be available?

I'd suggest getting an iPad then, unless there is some reason you absolutely must have two smartphones.

I've got an iPad 10.5" but it's too unwieldy in bed. I actually hardly ever use the iPad, either.

Fully agree.

Now if you can miss it, it will only become less valuable from now on.
That's made my mind up: I'll sell it this week and just use the X in the meantime. The Honor 10 is a good phone but I don't love it the way I love Apple products.

I sold the 8 for £380, not a bad price, I thought since it's a year old. Now I'm going to be using my X until the XR comes out.
