Hi

I have an iPhone XR with a tempered glass screen protector. Had since launch and only just started having problems with the very top left corner of the screen appearing unresponsive to touch.

Lots of the apps I use have a (back) tab / arrow top left so use this a lot. None of my apps appear to respond now. Tried the same apps on my older iPad Air 2 without issues and all work / respond just fine.

Anybody else had similar and wondered if it is a known issue with these new LED screens ?

Do I need to speak to Apple I wonder

Any help / advice greatly appreciated

Thank you everyone !!!

Brian

They’ll most likely make you take off the screen protector to see if it’s the cause.. The screen protectors sold in store by Apple are 2D so they aren’t full screen coverage.. You might want to take it off yourself and see if the screen works normally. If the phone is replaced, you’ll lose the screen protector anyway..

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, that all makes sense. I will remove screen protector and see if that makes a difference.

I'm sorry to hear about the problem. I had this before and there isn't any other way to resolve this but to replace the phone screen, it's possible though that the cables behind the screen came loose. Was this bumped? or Did the phone fall?

Thanks for your response and help. Phone is only a few weeks old and has not been bumped or dropped.
I will try removing the screen protector and see if that helps. I have tried a hard reset on it as well but problem still there. Might just goto an Apple Store and get them to sort it.

Most likely due to the screen protector. Applied one to my few days old XS max and touch sensitivity is down the drain.
