iPhone XR screen turns on with notifications while on a call

Hi everybody;

I have a very annoying problem with my XR. When I'm on a call and get a notification, the screen turns on and goes active. So my cheek keeps pressing mute, the keypad or any other option available on screen.

This problem started some time ago, and there have been at least 3 software updates and no fixing this problem.

Has anyone else gone through this? If so, any tips on how to fix it?

Sorry, never had a problem with that. My notifications come up as a banner at the top of the screen..

Mine also come up as a banner at the top, but the screen turns on and it stays on during the call

Maybe I don't touch my cheek against the screen very much when on the phone🤷‍♂️. Not sure if Apple will ever change what appears on the screen during a call or the options but you can always submit feedback to them...
