Walmart just posted their Blackfriday deal, 400 gift card on iPhone X and 300 on iPhone XR. This would bring down the price of both price basically the same. So which one do you recommend to buy? The new processor of XR or better screen on X?

That's tough... I'd go with the XR@128GB, because 64 is not enough and 256GB is too much (I assume the 256GB X would be more expensive than 128GB XR).
Also, I really enjoy the battery life and slightly larger display on the XR (and maybe that one year of extra support thx to A12?).
That being said, it always comes down to preference. I think all of the differences between the two are known, so you have to decide which phone offers what you want.

There’s no wrong answer. Each has its pros and cons. Some will prefer the X for its superior OLED display, higher resolution, dual cameras, 3D Touch, or maybe even just for the smaller size. Others will go for the XR because it has the newest/fastest processor, superior wide-angle camera (larger sensor, Smart HDR), superior battery life, larger screen, pretty colors, or perhaps because they can’t handle OLED (pwm issues).

I’d go with the X cuz it’s easier to fit in my pocket. And I’m another person who could never give up 3D Touch. To me, haptic Touch is like a toilet seat handle you gotta hold down.
I should have specified. I already have the X so I have no interest in going to the XR.
I think that your choice may come down to how you use your phone and how much the physical size matters. If you watch a lot of video and especially enjoy a smaller size, the X is a great option to option. If you mostly surf the net, text, talk, prize battery life, and don’t mind a bigger phone, get the XR. I’ve had the XR for going on two weeks and think it’s an excellent phone, but you won’t go wrong with either.

I really wanted to get the XR, the battery life is something I know I would appreciate.
But in the end I went with the X, main reason is the size and the quality and build feel it has compared to the XR.
Not saying the XR is a tacky piece of crap. its just that the X feels a bit more solid.

Try and use both side by side and you’ll immediately notice the X is the superior device. The day to day difference in speed is negligible but you will see a huge in the display especially when it comes to viewing angles and black levels.

I would get the X, for the OLED display, higher resolution, dual lens camera and 3D Touch. However they would both be good options depending on what phone you are coming from.
I Agree to an extent with you about OLED, but after reading a lot on here, It seems a strong majority of members aren’t able to truly differentiate between LCD an OLED, there are certain key differences with colors and blacks, but I don’t think OLED is major factor as much as Face ID and the form factor is.
That’s so untrue. I had a launch day X, a launch day XS Max, and now a XR. it’s the best one out of all three. Not too big, not too small, and crazy good battery life.
I would and have recommended it over every other model.
People stating how OLED is so superior - go and look at both models side by side. XS Max and XR - open apple news and see if you can tell the difference.
If all you do is watch movies and tv shows on your phone then get a Max. But if you actually need to be productive the XR is a better device. It’s easier to manage, lasts all day and more.
XR for the A12 and better battery. Also, good luck with the long lines at Walmart. I thought about picking up a 8 Plus there but decided not to as I don’t want to deal with Walmart on Black Friday / the weekend after.
