Other iPhone Xs Max already "on sale"

As of right now, you can get the iPhone Xs Max 256GB in Singapore for 10% lower than the retail price(1850SGD from 2039SGD) and the Xs Max 512GB for the price of the 256GB

There were simply too many dumping their sets away from re-contracts and such.

Quite a steal for launch day prices. What are your thoughts?

im from singapore. i know people who do this personally. they are not really dumping their sets. they are just people dont need the newest and most advanced smartphones, so they will sell their iphones and buy a cheap android. They can make some money this way. iphones are probably the most popular simply because they have the highest resale value w.r.t their price
