Hello, I tried charging this iPhone XS Max but it gets stuck at 82% with optimized battery charge turned off.
I tried changing the cable, didn’t work
I tried charging it wirelessly, at 82% after 3 minutes the wireless charge or qi starts flashing meaning the phone doesn’t accept any electricity.
I took it to change the charging flex but they say the flex is good.
Is the problem the battery itself?
Battery life is at 84% and from charging data, it shows that it loses electricity.
2 minutes charge 2 minutes cut and so on.
I hope it’s not the motherboard.

Thank you Taz, knowing it’s just the battery makes relieved.
I thought 84% battery life would still charge the battery to 100% quickly and fully through.
But since it’s the battery I’m ok with it.

Hmm-
An ancient worn out battery should still charge to 100%. It won’t hold much charge and won’t last long, but the charge status should say 100% if it’s left in the charger for a few hours.

It did go 100%, but from what I see it loses energy at 80%+.
Do u have any idea if it is the battery or the motherboard ?

There’s not much you can do.
Choices:

1. Do nothing and live with it
2. Take it to a repair shop to see if they can diagnose the problem
3. Replace the battery without deeper troubleshooting and hope it fixes it

If I had to choose, I’d pick #2 because #3 might be a waste of money if the charging circuit is messed up.

I took it to a repair shop, they had it for 2 months and I still have the issue. Thankfully they changed my chassis so I can’t really get mad.
I will try the battery, if it persists then I will pay the big bucks

Today I had a panic log. I just changed the charging flex. But it charges slowly.

Is the phone overheating as it charges? Usually it will stop charging or drastically slow down the charge rate if it gets too warm.

In my hands it’s not so hot. But I bet inside the phone gets too hot. But this problem didn’t exist.
The phone at my conditions was charging normal. I could feel the changes while charging. This time is just hella annoying. I want to see
Is it the battery?
Is it the motherboard?

Panic AOP k2 Bosch
1 percent charge in 2 minutes
