So... I got my AirPods pro and i have been loving them so far. I have a weird issue where my iPhone will not show me the prompts to pair or show the battery level when i open the case. I have been searching with no solution. I “reset all settings” and also ‘reset all network settings’. I also combed through all the phone settings to see if maybe I días bled something, and no luck.

My iPad picks them up right away, so did a whole bunch of iPads at the Apple store. My phone simply will not “see” them when i open the case. Has anyone had this same issue or know what i need to do? It’s a minor thing, but still kinda sucks since I dont see the prompts on my phone. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Does the pop up appear when you open the case directly behind your phone (almost touching) in the upper half?

Might sound a weird thing to try but I had that issue with my XS Max in January and it was the only way I could get my AirPods to connect.

Even then I had constant disconnects with my AirPods whenever I placed the phone in my pocket.

Ultimately I got the phone replaced. Thankfully I was able to reproduced the issue at the Genius Bar. They were adamant it was most likely software but I pressed the issue and think there’s some sort of hardware issue with the Bluetooth chip in the XS Max (there were similar Bluetooth issues floating around on the forum at that time)

That worked. If i place thew case literally next to the upper right side of the phone it picks it up right away. I dont have any disconnections when using the headset (glad for that) . Such a weird error. I have apple care and may consider getting it checked. Its like the phone is limiting the transmission power. On other devices it picks is up from pretty far. Thanks!
