I usually get 50 Mbps down at home. On my iPhone X I get 50. I also get 50 on my MacBook Pro. But on my XS Max I get around 30 at best now but mostly much less on every speed test. Idk what to do. Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

Thank you.

See the other threads already started on this issue. There are several. No fix. Apple will need to fix with update hopefully.

Thanks for the links. I have isolated the 5ghz band & have tested strictly on that but still getting slow results. No difference between 2.4 VS 5ghz for me personally.

2.4 Ghz Band has larger range in comparison to 5 Ghz, so a phone having weaker antenna(resulting in poor reception at 5 Ghz) will naturally latch to 2.4 Ghz Band. Thinking of cancelling my order, 1700 Dollars cant be spent just like that.

I noticed that WIFI is becoming slower and slower until you disconnect and connect again.
From that moment the wifi is fast but becomes slower and slower during the day until you repeat these steps again.

I'd wait for a software update, should be soon
Hopefully. I've spoken with Apple reps on the phone and they've had me send logs when I'm experiencing slow speeds so they can send those logs to the engineering team. Looking forward to an update real soon.

Apple is usually good when it comes to fixes like this. I’m not personally experiencing the problem, but I’m sure they have a 12.0.1 coming out soon to address any early issues.
