My iPhone XS is stuck in SOS mode after iOS 16 update, 2 days back.. Already tried following things, but no solution till nowšŸ˜ž.

  1. Aeroplane Mode ON and OFF (Tried more than 10 times)
  2. Cellular Data ON and OFF (Tried more than 10 times)
  3. Forced Restart (Tried more than 5 times)
  4. Normal Restart (Tried more than 5 times)
  5. Reset >> Network Reset (Tried more than 5 times)
  6. SIM Card Swap (SIM card works on other devices, but just not on my iphone XS) (And other family members active SIM card do not work on my iPhone XS)
  7. iOS Update after connecting to myTunes through Recovery Mode
  8. Enough Free Storage space (More than 4 GB free space)

What should I be doing more? Please help

By No. 7, do you mean DFU Mode? If not, try it.

Note:

ā€If you fail to see the ā€œiTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunesā€ message, start the process over again and follow the directions closely. The steps are obviously sort of unusual, and following them exactly is necessary in order to properly enter DFU mode.

If the iPhone screen turns on, or you see an Apple logo or iTunes logo on the display of iPhone, then the iPhone XS, XR, or XS Max is not in DFU mode and you need to start over.ā€

I had that happen on my iPhone 13 Pro. Over the course of two days (that I noticed) my phone would stay on SOS mode. The problem was the tower that was closest to me, and apparently the only one my phone could connect, was broken. It took Verizon three days to repair the tower.

Go to a different location several miles from your current location. That will eliminate the cell signal. My wife's phone would get a weak signal in the upstairs portion of the house, my location in the lower level, a partial basement, received no signal.
