An ad for the qi iphone charger does say 10w.
7.5w is what the x and 8 plus are rated.

Im sure we will find out for sure when ifixit etc tear them down friday.
 
And you can always turn off the fast wireless charging option in the settings.

Excluding the option makes absolutely no sense.
 
According to Daring Fireballs review, it now charges to 100% 30 minutes faster.

It still maxes out at 7.5w, but the iPhone is more efficient.
This would be good news for me as i just bought a belkin boost up special edition wireless charger which maxes out at 7.5W, when i heard 10W i was thinking i made a mistake. I'm still in the return window so if it turns out its 10W i'll probably exchange it even though it wouldn't make much of a difference in terms of speed.
