I’m not that happy with the quality of photos and videos on the 8, I’m beginning to think there might be something wrong with settings.

Any advice please on how to create sharp photos and videos?

Thanks

clean lens from chocolate, switch on room light, stop riding roller coaster or type "wualuty" 3times before and after taking a picture

The 8 can take amazing images.
Use microfiber cloth on lens before a shot.
Try to hold phone steady and press lightly.
Apps like Snapseed, Lightroom & even stock Photos app can help with editing.

Hahaha oh man you had me giggling :D

Anyway to the OP, clean the lens and ensur you tap on the subject you want to take a photo off so it focuses properly, during my time with the 8 I found the photos were poor but tapping on the subject resolved that and it took great photos after.

Thanks for the tips, especially the choc one.

I find it most poor in low light and zoom.
