This is nonsense for two reasons.
1. There is no "iPhone LCD". I've seen a lot of iPhones, none of them had the exact same color representation. Some of them showed a night & day difference in comparison.
2. It can be generalized that all iPhone LCD's suck. They are cheap and low-res and almost all of them show washed out colors. Scientific analysis may "prove" that color representation on the iPhone is more closer to reality, it still looks incredibily washed out compared to almost every other competitor on the marktet.

Ok yeah your right .. you know more than a PROFESSIONAL.. all thoes things you mentioned are PERSONAL opinions Not facts like this anaylst pointed out with pictures and descriptions..
Um, yeah, the guy that did the test specifically said that:2. It can be generalized that all iPhone LCD's suck. They are cheap and low-res and almost all of them show washed out colors. Apple's handset has contrast that is too low and weak color saturation.
The test proved that the Nexus One was brighter and crisper. Its colors just weren't as close as those of a professional studio broadcast monitor. You, personally, may hate how professional studio broadcast monitors look. Big scientific words? Really?I own an iPhone and Nexus One and have used them both enough to believe I have a good feel for each phone and their screens. The Nexus screen wins hands down if you ask me. It is so much brighter, crisper, and just more enjoyable to look at and watch videos or look at pictures on. Big scientific words and explanations don't do it for me.
That's what the guy who did the test said:"Wow, this screen is amazing. So much better than my phone's"
Direct quote from an iPhone owning friend when he saw my Droid.
As for the current standard-bearer in mobile phone displays, Soneira said he would guess that title goes to the Motorola Droid. While he hasn't done any thorough tests, he said in his educated opinion Motorola's Android-powered handset, which has a 3.7-inch screen, is the leader.
I love the iphones screen and how it looks.. I do not need CRAZY BRIGHT colors thrown in my face
You can't tell in a store.Question: When you go to Best Buy, do you think the pictures on the TVs on display there look really good?
That's ********. First of all, the iPhone is 3GS is hardy 6 months old. Second, the Droid doesn't have an AMOLED display. Third, AMOLED displays have been around for quite a while. Fourth, there are tons of phones with better displays than the iPhone display out for more than two years.
Actually, no. When the iPhone came out it had one of the best screens around and all the reviews raved about it. The fact that there are better screens around now doesn't mean the iPhone's display is crap, it just means it's not the best.
Long story short: the iPhone LCD lacks in every aspect in comparison with the competition. It always has.
