Hey everyone,

I just released iPhoneTether v1.1, which allows easy tethering of the iPhone on any carrier in iTunes' version server (most), or any that you have the IPCC for. I'm not sure if it works for the original iPhone, but I know it works for the 3G. This particular release has full support for 3.0 final and iTunes 8.2.

Check it out here: http://winxblog.com/?p=48

Do you need to have Leopard to use tethering??? = / I have a macbook pro with 10.4.11 and it doesnt recognize the phone when i turn on the tethering option on the phone... any suggestions?

Hmm... Why do I get the bad feeling that they've disabled tethering on the iPhone 2G as well?

I tried this out with my carrier and it didn't seem to work.

hey - sorry for the noobie question - but what are the instructions? i have never done this before.

thanks!

I'm not sure if you need Leopard, but I wouldn't be surprised. Make sure you're running iTunes 8.2.

The app doesn't seem to work with the original generation iPhone.

The instructions are all in the application... Just run it, and if you have any specific questions, post here when you're done.

Thanks OP. The application is a zip file. Do i just unzip it on the mac and follow instructions from there on? I looked at the zip and it has a bunch of files, and was therefore confused.

thanks!

Yes, you need to use it on a Mac. On Windows it will appear as a bunch of files, on the Mac it will appear as an application.

Hi, I tried to go to the link but I get this message: "Welcome to the BlastCentral server. What I am doing wrong?
Thanks.

It's an old thread you revived. Probably took it down because 3.1 firmware breaks all tethering.
