Hey has anyone else has problems with their iPhone X not fully charging? I had mine plugged in for 4 hours yesterday and it didn’t move past 90%. Then I turned it off and back on and it went to 93% and never went past that despite being plugged in. Last night I left it plugged in all night and it was only at 83% this morning. I turned it off and back on, it went to 85% and hasn’t moved past that since.

Yes. I had it wireless all night and woke to 80 percent battery. It’s possible it’s using more juice in early days (syncing and scanning photo library and all of that intensive stuff) than 5 Watts can replenish. Im trying fast 29 watt charger now.

I sure hope this is the case. I've read multiple threads about this. I'm switching to the X specifically due to battery issues on my 6.

I used a fast charger for hours yesterday and it remained really warm as it downloaded 200gbs worth of stuff and never really made it to 90%

I had it on a wireless charger and despite showing charge it woke up with the same percent, this is probably the wireless charger acting up though. I used a 10w iPad adapter, may need something different.

Plugged my iPhone into a usb port I have built into to one of my wall outlets and it's charging just fine. an hour and it's almost charged

I didn’t have any issues with it stopping at a certain percentage, but it did take an abnormally long time to charge. I didn’t really “test” it but it took much longer to charge than my 7 Plus.

Luckily, if I’m not mistaken, the OS controls the charge of the device, so for those that are stuck at 80% or 93%, assuming the battery isn’t defective, maybe just a software update?

Let me know if you have success with the fast watt charger because I tried that and still had an issue.

I had it on a wireless charger and the percentage would not go up

Works fine on wired

I have an anker wireless charger that works fine with an iPhone 8, but there’s definitely some issue with the X

Used the 29w charger last night and woke up to 80%. Not sure if it was still downloading pictures from the cloud but it’s annoying. Hopefully it gets better today.

Yeah it was being a bit odd, partly I think because downloading a 64gb iCloud backup + giant iCloud camera roll was taking its toll, but did a hard reset and once it hit 100% once it’s been acting normal.

I assume you mean the wireless $60 Mophie charger? Thinking about getting that. Does your phone run hot or anything while using it?

Yip, noticed that right away. Probably not a big deal. Looks like a LOT of them do this.

Wonderful. It's always something :)

Yesterday mine got stuck at 82% for a long time, but that was because everything was being downloaded back into the phone. Music, thousands of photos, apps etc. Once everything was done I replugged it and it charged to 100%.

Wanted to know how to truly tell if the phone is fully charged. I remember in the past when the phone was 100% and fully charged the lighting logo would turn into the small plug logo. Do the phones/software still do that? I haven't noticed.
