Well,

Installed it and iMovie 3. For the very first time I crashed OSX. For those of you who haven't experienced it, you get a message in 5 languages forcing you to restart by holding down the power button. First time for everything.

Anyhow, the question...

I was simply hoping there was a way with this package to make a slide show with music and export it, through iMovie as a QT movie. But it seems you either need to build the slide show in iMove (really slow on a Powerbook G3 500) or you need to own iDVD and export it to that. Can't run iDVD on my machine and I can't burn DVD's anyhow!

All I want is a QT movie of a slide show, is it possible, or any suggestion on how to do this.

Thanks in advance

The new iphoto is cool, still a bit slow, can't complain to loud for free...

iPhoto 2

1. Select the pictures you want in iPhoto.
2. Create a slideshow using the slideshow button. (this is just to set the correct music you want)
3. In the "File" menu of iPhoto, chose "Export". Click on the Quicktime tab, set your options, and export the slideshow.

Well obviously for a slide show of photos you have to use iPhoto, not iMovie. Go to iPhoto and make a folder of the pictures you want in the slide show, select the music in the Preferences, and go to Export>Quicktime. There, simple.

EDIT: Written at same time as ptrauber.. sorry.

Duh...

Thanks....

Bet you've been able to do that since iPhoto I. Guess I should have looked through all the menus.

Thanks much..
