I think the default location for the iPhoto library is in the Pictures folder in your Home directory. At least, that's where it was for me...

HTH,

yeah i should have rephrased that, does it show the iphoto library in your apple menu -> recent items and in the document area?

Oddly enough, it does show up in Recent Documents. I suppose iPhoto treats "iPhoto Library" as a document. A really big document at that.

That's really strange. It didn't do that before iLife '04. At least, I never noticed it.

It's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature!

Well, it does it for me running Panther and iPhoto 2.

another thing i have noticed is if you move a file into an album the red dot pops up in the red close button on the top like it does when something has changed it is going to ask you to save. Is this a bug or is it like it in everyones?

On second look, the printer and fax preference pane shows up under documents too. Now that is weird!;)

In my use of iPhoto 4, it is indeed significantly faster and more usable that iPhoto 2. It feels like it has finally matured in my opinion. What kind of computer are you going to be running it on?

edit: Just saw that you use an iBook G4. You should see a noticable improvement. :D
