Ok, Noob question. I have an old Powerbook G4 12" and I need to get the photos off of it for my wife so she can use them on her new laptop. Well, sad but true she switched back to PC. What is the best way of backing up or moving the photos so they are readable and easy to organize? I already tried copying the library directory but that didn't work.

Any suggestions would be great!

You could drag and drop them from the iPhoto window into a folder on the desktop, or something similar. I find that's easier than digging through all the tons of nested folders iPhoto likes to make.

I had a feeling it was going to be a slow PITA process.

Well, it's just "Select All" and then dragging them into a folder. Not that complicated, I suppose.

I'd wait in case someone else here chimes in with a better way. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

When I did the select all and tried the move, says not enough memory. Even when I try to move them a share on the network. 60 gig drive I have 34gig available.
