Hi

I have an Imac, with CS3. I use Iphoto to import my images straight from my canon 50D camera, which has been very easy for me to do. I've been importing jpegs up until now.

Yesterday I attempted to import about 50 RAW images, but an error occurred and would not import them. So i suspect the error is because i am trying to import RAW images.

I dont know much at all about programs or IT or anything like that, so i would really appreciate some help in layman's terms please

You should try checking for the updates. I think there was a RAW import update released recently.

If that doesn't help, you can always just drag the files to your desktop from the camera folder itself, instead of using iPhoto.

What version of iLife/iPhoto do you have, and what version of OS X (10.4, 10.5, 10.6)? You may just need an update, either to iPhoto or what's usually called a "RAW compatibility update", but it may be that your combination of OS and iLife versions doesn't support RAW from the 50D. As long as you have a recent version of OS X, you should be able to upgrade to iLife '09 to get support for the 50D if necessary, but you may not need to buy anything.
