Heya guys.

Just looking to clear something up.

I imported some new pictures from a folder on my mac into a new event on iPhoto and they have now turned up on my iPhone in photo stream.

I thought photo stream was just a one way thing i.e I take a picture on the iPhone and it appears in iPhoto but this also seems to be that adding any new images in to iPhoto from any source and they also show up on the iPhone.

Is this right?

You can deactivate this in iPhoto.

iPhoto > Preferences > Photo Stream > un-check Automatic Upload

If you import new pictures into iphoto, let's say from your point&shoot camera, they are all going to be pushed to the cloud unless you turn this feature off in the iPhoto preferences.

I wanted to turn it off, but then I realised that it is quite cool and left it on.

Thanks t0mbola, that is just what I was looking for. I like the feature too, just wanted to make sure I knew what was going on so I can control it.

I was wondering why my internet had been going at a snails pace for the last few days, now I know, I had imported around 2gb of photos into iPhoto so it has been busy uploading them!

It's really nice having them on the go.
