I like to edit some pictures in photoshop, and before i got a new hard drive, in iphoto all i would click is edit in external editor and it would launch photoshop with the picture.. Now when i right click the photo this option is grayed out.. whats the problem?? Im running iphoto 6 and photoshop cs//

Perhaps you need to navigate to, and select, the Photoshop application again in iPhoto's preferences, even though it appears to be set that way already. It's worth a try.

Is there a possibility that you don't have read/write permission on your photos? That might also explain why iPhoto would try to prevent you from editing them. One way to check would be to switch the preference to editing inside iPhoto and see if it lets you edit a photo.
