I'm not even sure how to desribe this but here goes ..

I have a series of fairly large images. I set these images on my 14" T23 (1024 x 768 resolution like the mac) as a background and they appear 'floating' in the middle of the screen at a nice resolution.

I moved these files over to my 12" Powerbook and have it cycle through all the pics as a desktop.

The images, instead of being 'centered ' at the 'high resolution' appear like I have zoomed into the middle of the pic and blown it up to fit the screen. Top, side and bottom areas get cut off and trhe resolution 'appears' to be less than on my T23.

I eyeballed the screens and if the Powerbook had the same screen size as the T23, the pics would appear in the right spot.

SOrry to be so vague but I can't think of any other way to describe this. Is there a way to work with the computers setting or the pi sizes to make the computer ... "unzoom" and show the entire picture as a background ...

Thanks in advance .. KS

Alex,

Thank you!! Proves , yet again, that there is usually a simple solution if looked for.

Man, I was going off in my own mind thinking about screen resolutions, pic resizing and so on. Sheesh.
