I have been trying to resize photos in iPhoto without much success. Every help item I look at iPhoto help it refers me to cropping the photo. However, I'm not trying to crop the photo - rather, I'm trying to compact it into a 70x70 frame so I can use it as an avatar.

Can anyone explain how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

This is very easy.

1. Use the crop tools and set to square.

2. Crop the picture to be what you want for your avatar.

3. Choose File>Export and set the image size to 70x70.

You can skip steps 1 and 2 if you want, but you might not get a square image.
