So...I upgraded my parents MBP from 10.9 to Catalina.

My parents love their "iPhotos" being their screen saver, it has 17 years worth of pictures that scroll through and they enjoy watching it.

Now that I've upgraded, Photos is their default. I've imported their iPhotos into Photos - but when I use Photos for the screen saver, it doesn't show the 17 years worth of photos, just the recent 20 photos that were directly imported into Photos the other day. However, when I open up Photos, there 20,000 images in there.

How do I go about merging the two so that the "screen saver" picks up all the images?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

You say you use "Photos", but in my system Photos opens up and shows all of those albums. Did you pick album which contains all of the photos you want? Did you try to create special album for screensaver and use that? I suspect when you simply picked Photos, it will default ot recent or some other album.
