iPhoto upgrade problems

I am on Panther 10.3.4, but for some reason it didnt upgrade my iPhoto. I am still on iPhoto 2 even after all my OS upgrades. I see iPhoto 4 is out, but I cant get it cuz my iPhoto is too outdated! Can anyone help?

iPhoto 4 is part of iLife '04, and you have to buy it. It is not available for you to download via update.

But don't bother. iPhoto really sucks. It is hard for me to believe that you can't have multiple libraries and switch between them without renaming your main library everytime you want to switch between them. I guess Apple has never heard of "Open" as a file option.
