Is there any way to stop iPhoto from automatically running when I plug in a digital camera?

I'd like to know how to have a shared iPhoto library, as opposed to individual ones. ie, the iTunes library can be a shared one.....

big: just move the iphoto library you want to share from /Users/Yourname/Pictures/iPhoto\Library to where ever you want, and use the iphoto library when moved to make an alias, and place it in each users Pictures folder.

RiseAgainst: go to /Applications/ImageCapture, and then go to the image capture preferences. the option is there.

Open Image Capture, and then open its preferences and change the default to something other than iPhoto.
