Some time ago I purchased a used ipod nano 2nd gen 8g black on ebay for a reasonable $20.00 because the merchant said that the battery was "dead". Well when I received it I tried to connect it to my computer and sure enough "no go". So I decided to find out how much a battery replacement costs so that I can get it going. Anyway, just for "kicks" I connected it to a car charger I had from my previous ipod that was stolen and I couldn't belive it, the darn thing fired up and all these cool songs were on it. My problem is that I have tried everything that Apple has written down to restore it and I still can not get it to recognize my pc. I have put it in disk mode a "hundred times" and downloaded i-tunes and it still will not load nor will it charge through my pc. Can someone give me the right info or procedures to get it going? Thank You
