Hey guys, just went to get my iPod out of my draw (been a few months since I last used it) and turned it on - it showed me the  logo then the battery with a lightning strike next to it. I have tried restarting it (it is now connected to my Mac), and sometimes I get me sad iPod face. It seems to go through the restart cycle a few times before it gives up.

Is there anything I can do? Finder won't recognise it. I would love to have this work again as I have missed the LCD since I bought my shuffle. Maybe HD dead or battery? Might buy Decryption's battery if it is.

Thanks for any help guys...

edit: I just remembered that the last workable state had both iPod OS and Linux on it

Sounds like it might be worth trying a new battery. It would only cost a bit and if it works, you are in good shape.
