iPod Ipod 4th gen nano is stuck with blue screen

Ok so all we did was sync it and when it was playing it froze and the screen is on but with just a light glow.

I took a pic and its hard to see but nothing works as far as the buttons. It is stuck right where it is. Plugged it in and nothing. wont turn of etc....

any thoughts ????
