What is the original material of the iPod 6 and 6.5 (also called 7) generation. It looks like aluminum, but the replacement I ordered ended up being plastic. It is hard to tell by the looks of the original.

It looks like all replacements are plastic. If the original is aluminum, does anybody know a source? Mine was damaged prior to refurbishment.

There should be plenty of metal face plates available from Ebay and places like iDemigods. Normally the plastic face plates are flat like a 5th Gen, and the metal ones curve at the edges.
