I have a 30gb ipod video 5th generation and have been having some problems with it. I have read alot of threads where people ipods randomly skip songs, but mine doesnt do that exactly. My problem is that my ipod will just stop playing a song. Ill press play and nothing its basically frozen but i can still navigate through the ipod just fine. Othertimes it will stop and then continue but more often I have to hold menu and the center button and restart my iPod and then it works fine. I figured this was because i was walking around with my ipod in my pocket and maybe the HD skipped or something but its happened when it was just laying on my table plugged into my surround sound. Its getting kind of annoying and i am wondering if a restore would fix this. I am asking about this here because I have a macbook pro laptop and a PC tower and dont know if i should format it to the mac or pc. I download music on the PC because I dont like to put too much on my macbook but i do ocasionally use my mac to put songs on my ipod. I read this thread https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1096632/ and dont know if that would cause the problem or not? It doesnt seem to be the same songs every time but im not sure. Any suggestions? thanks
Edit: I am on the latest firmware 1.3
And I accidently wrote 60gb i meant 30gb i just wasnt thinking
