This is a great looking Nano and works nicely with the IWatch - you wear it like a normal watch. A couple of issues though. The screen turns off every 20 seconds or so - if you want to advance to the next song you have to first wake it up by finding and pressing the wake button and then you have to find the arrows that advance it to the next song.

So now you have to find 2 buttons - try doing that without having to look down! On my ancient 1st generation Nano I could find the click wheel and advance to the next song without looking. Wondering if I got headphones with a remote function that would solve the problem??

Is there any way to set the Nano up to stay on?

Also I know you cannot really turn this nano off - only sleep it. Apparantly you need to ensure that the song you were playing is paused and the radio is paused and everything else is stopped (like pedometer) and then you can press the sleep button and it will sleep without using much power.

Well, I'd hope you did your home work and used some common sense. No offense man, but you knew it was a touch screen and you knew you had to look at it to change songs.

To answer your question, yes the ear buds with remote will work, as well as 3rd party button adapters that work on the 3rd gen shuffle will work on the nano.

No there is no way to adjust the sleep time to keep the screen on, I would have hoped they'd have a new software update after this long to address some user issues like the sleep timer..but alas it hasn't happened yet and it really doesn't look like they will.
