Can anyone help explain the deal with the 6th gen?

I usually get maybe 5-6 hours at most from it which is adequate but nowhere near what it's rated as having

The battery indicator moves around a lot (annoying predictive usage doing that) and I was at around 40% earlier and decided to check out the diagnostic mode that the 6th gen has.

I went into battery status, and it was claiming I had around 3000 mV, and a full charge takes this up to around 4000 mV.

Is the indicator on the OS reading it completely wrong, and not actually using the full battery?

6G nano or 6G classic?

For the classic- its rare that i listen to it until the battery is drained with just music, but with my movies and TV shows i usually get a solid 5-6 hours (I'm usually watching with the backlight between 0 and 15%). If i had to take a guess for music, it would be around 20-25 hours for mine.

Try doing a full cycle of the battery- charge until full then drain it running music until it actually dies, then juice it back up again. Did wonders for my 1G touch.
