iPod iPod 80GB question

So I found my old 80gb iPod. It charges and looks to be at 100%. Then I use it while running and everything is good. What is weird is when I shut off for the night and try to use it again it won't turn on.

So the battery is dead right or dying?

I'm not sure, but I think it's the battery. I've got an 80 GB iPod too, and after a year(?) of non-use, it seems to behave similar to yours.
