So... I have some money to burn at Best Buy. They have the: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-ICFCS10i...4BK8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1292986570&sr=8-1

How does this work as an alarm clock for a 3g iphone, I'm actually looking at the white version? It's extremely hard for me to wake up in the morning, so volume is important. I'm looking at shelf systems as well if they'll allow me to wake up to a certain song. Also, as technologically advanced as I fancy myself, I still have questions about these items that don't claim to be an alarm clock.

Am, I able to download an alarm clock app that allows me to wake to music and have this docked to wake up to a certain song, or am I going to have to listen to the phone playing the song while docked (which I imagine sounds terrible, because the speakers will be at the bottom of a dock)? I would think no, because the unit may be "off" while my alarm is going off, even if the unit is plugged in to display the time?

I don't know... I would think these speaker systems would brag about being able to be used as alarm clocks, but I'm not seeing it. Lost...
