hi,

I have recently bought an ipod photo 60gb and have a few queries!

1. My friend used to bring his windows formated ipod over and connect it to my apple laptop, then he could play the songs from his ipod through my itunes and laptop. I tried that with my new windows formatted ipod and the songs all appeared greyed out and I cant play them, also at the bottom of the screen where it says how much space is left, there is a picture of a small locked padlock (not sure if that is relevant)

2. The songs take a while to transfer when my ipod is connected via firewire, is there a way I can stop it from charging or some other way of improving the speed?

3. Even though I have my ipod set up for windows, can I still sync the photos with my powerbook on iphoto.

4. If I have pictures on my ipod and want to delete them, can I?

Finally 5. Can anyone recommend a good case which allows me to see the screen and operate the ipod without being ugly or too big!

Thanks in advance

Mike

I'm guessing you've got yours to automatically update songs whereas he probably had his to manually add songs.

It's as fast as you'll get it. The charging part wont slow down the process at all.

I assume so since a Windows iPod is still able to sync contacts and calendars.

Sorry, no idea.

I personally don't bother with a case. I've written it off as getting scratched and hacked. However, iPodlounge.com has this comprehensive list.
