So I noticed some of my genre info was inconsistent, so I went through iTunes on my MacBook and cleaned them all up. Then cleared all the music off my iPad and reloaded it with everything corrected (using the compressed option) and now when I go to open the iPod app on my iPad, it opens, then quickly closes...

Any thoughts? Anyone else having this issue? It was working great :(

EDIT: Rebooting didn't help, plugging into iTunes again didn't help... For some reason, firing up a movie using the Videos app then exiting out and starting iPod app worked... *shrug*

I'm having this problem. Have done multiple restores, replacing music, removing music, etc. and to no avail. My iPod app is broken. I've seen a few whispers about this in other threads on the Apple Support forum.

Damn! I certainly didn't want to spend multiple hours building and then rebuilding my iPad in the first week.

For now, I think I'll just live without the iPod on my brand new iPad. How sad is that? Because if I do a complete restore to a new iPad then I'll lose the bookmarks in a book I've almost finished reading. Which brings up another sore spot: why can't I export bookmarks from iBooks?
