iPod application quits when returning to home screen

Hi, I have a jailbroken 3G running 3.1.3, just in the last week the iPod application has started quitting when I return to the home screen. I.E. the music stops playing, it does this both on loudspeaker and with the headphones in.
The only items I have recently added are activator and wifi sync, but I can't imagine either of these would be causing this.
I can get round the problem by backgrounding the iPod application, but its still annoying!
Just wondered if anyone knows of any conflicts that could be causing this.

i had this same problem with the recent update for backgrounder. all i did was reinstall backgrounder and all was fixed.
