i got my old man an ipod for his boat, and had a question about peripherals.
his boat is a 30 ft cabin cruiser, and his radio is in the main cabin below the driving deck. there is a 9 volt outlet by the captains chair on his driving deck, and speakers outside, but no radio controls.
if i were to get him an fm transmitter/charger combo, would it be powerful enough to transmit the ipod signal through the fiberglass and into the cabin where the radio is? he distance is roughly 6 feet, and there are two layers of fiberglass in between. it would be nice to be able to control the music without having to go below deck. tthanks.
