So after a handful of kernel panics, iTunes Library file corruptions, iPod restores, and partial library restorations (thanks to iPod.iTunes), my iPod's having some issues. Everytime i plug it in, it updates... at the end of the update I get the message:

"The iPod "The Almighty Pod" could not be updated. An unknown error ocurred (-208)."

I've searched iTunes and Support for an error code "208" and found only that it shows up when your library is corrupt and cannot be opened. Sure, mine WAS corrupt, but I fixed it, and now it opens fine. I'm a little worried by this, and annoyed that it's popping up after every update. Any ideas?

On another note: i'm worried this has something to do with the fact that i did an archive install of tiger instead of a fresh install. If I find i need to do a fresh install, how do I do so without losing all my preferences and such? I can backup to an external, and then what....

And why is the help viewer so damn slow?!
