Recently my iPod USB port gave out and I bought a ZIF to 2.5 adapter from Addonics to use with my PC via another USB 2.5 to USB adapter I have. When I got it all hooked up Windows said it was installing device driver software and then said it was all function well but when I go into My Computer I don't see any prompt for the HDD. I went into Disk Management and it recognized the HDD but said it was "Unallocated" and "Not Initialized". I don't know what this means and I'm pretty sure the HDD isn't corrupted so does anyone know how I can access the drive without having to go through another iPod? Would "initializing" fix the problem and I would be able to recover all the data? In case anybody is wondering, I opened up my iPod to get to the HDD (just saying to avoid potential confusing that happened on the board I'm about to link).

I made a topic on another board but I started to think I might get more help here, here's the board.

Thanks.
