I recently got a new 160gb iPod to replace my 5g 80gb. Is it normal that the center select button is triggered if you don't click on the outer edges of the other buttons? For example, if I click the Menu button closer to the select button, it triggers select instead of the Menu. This wasn't an issue on my 80gb. I have to hit all the buttons exactly on the dot/ on the outer edge, or else it triggers the select button. Hope I explained this clear enough. Thanks!

I don't have a Classic to try it out but since no one else here has replied that has one I'd recommend trying out a demo model at the Apple store to compare the buttons.

Nope it shouldn't happen, I think the circuitry under the click wheel of your iPod Classic is faulty and should be replaced.
