I got my girlfriend a 160 gig 2009 classic as I mentioned in another thread.

She likes silicon cases, and we went looking at the stores here and she went with the Power Support translucent silicon jacket (with included screen/wheel/back films).

The case is spot on and in conjunction with the films and dock connector cover, covers the entire ipod--except for the top, as that's how the iPod slides in and out.

She likes it, but she wants more protection, while staying silicon.

Of course, there has to always be an open end on a one-piece silicon case in order to get the ipod in and out, so I'm looking at other options for her that are silicon-based.

I looked at the Claro, and that would be great and she might like it if it weren't for that unsightly bulky belt clip, but she doesn't want a clip on the back.

I have something else in mind--some type of protective silicon case that covers the entire back and sides, leaving the front face completely exposed (like the incase silicon jackets for the iPod touch, but then with some type of extra resilient full frontal film. However, I can't seem to find any good full frontal films for the classic.

I'm open to other silicon-based case ideas, if you have them. Thanks.

I had got Griffin Reflective Case for my new 160 GB classic. I loved the slim design that fits like a glove and only makes the ipod slightly larger. It is also made to fit my belkin dock without having to take it off perfectly. Another silicone ipod case I have is from iFanatic…this case fits really well and does protect the ipod from shock and scratches.
