There have been a few occasions where accidently i have connected my ipod classic (80gb) to my pc whilst the 'hold' button is on... the ipod freezes and is undetectable by the pc.
Upon removing th ipod from the pc, it is in a frozen state that and does not respond to any buttons. Its simply a matter of waiting until the battery runs out before anything can be done with it.
Should this happen?
It has been also quite common to for the ipod to lose connection with the pc during the middle of a transfer, thus probably corrupting the ipod library index as when the ipod is plugged in to the pc again, ituines cannot recognise what files are on the ipod, resulting in having to put all the music back onto the ipod which is a pain!
Ive restored the ipod, then began to transfer a load of files over to it, for it to crash half way through.
i dont want to keep having to put all the tunes back onto the ipod every now and again so would like to solve it.
Aparently the ipod is upto date with its firmware 1.1.2
