I recently got an 80Gb Classic, and for the first week, with numerous syncs, there were no problems at all.
Then all of a sudden the iPod said that there was no music on it, yet it it knew there were files on it as the about section said there was 51GB of 'other' on the HDD.
I thought i would just be able to connect the iPod to my Mac and Restore it and start again, but iTunes (although it automatically starts up) does not show the iPod on the Sources list. Odder still, it appears in Finder.
I am very confused i am in serious need of help, i don't want to have to send it off to get fixed
I hope there is someone out there that can help.
