iPod iPod Classic and a white screen.

Hey guys

Just got my 80GB iPod classic yesterday .

Took it out of the box, turned it on to check out the new interface. Everything was going well... I then decided to check out the games. I was playing breakout when I had to turn it off (held play for standby).

Now when I try to turn it on, only the backlight turns on and nothing else. No apple logo on restart - NOTHING.

any help?

Have you tried resetting the iPod by holding MENU + the center button? Doing so for about 5-10 seconds will reset the iPod and will likely bypass any software glitches that may come about. Try doing that or plugging the iPod into the computer before returning it.
