Hello,

I am looking to improve the quality of my listening experience by taking a digital signal from my iPod and passing through a Cambridge Audio DacMagic and from there to my Amp. Thus by-passing the DAC in the iPod.

I am currently using an Arcam IR Dock which is supplying an analogue signal to my hi-fi amp, which has already been through the DAC in the iPod.

Is it possible to get a digital stream from iPod to the USB "b" connector on the DacMagic or do need to buy the Onkyo Digital dock to extract the digital stream from the iPod?

In short, can a digital stream be extracted from an iPod to a USB 'b' type connector?
