iPod ipod classic and my 2013 Hyundai santa fe

I just got a new Hyundai Santa Fe and tried plugging in my 120gb classic and can get it to interface with the disply screen in the car. I don't want to buy a new ipod if possible, any suggestions on how to get a good interface?

Hi, sorry it's been a while but I have a Hyundai Tucson- you have to control it from the car itself from the navigation screen not the ipod
