iPod ipod classic and Pioneer DEH-690UB Compatability

I just had a Pioneer DEH-690UB installed in my car and have a brand new 80gb ipod classic to connect to it. However, every couple of times i start my car it freezes my ipod and I have to reset the ipod to get it to work. Anybody got any ideas?
