Greetings everyone. I'll try to sum up my problem. I luckily have an iPod 160GB Classic. It's full. I created this on my now dead laptop, thru iTunes. I would like to back up the data within that into another hard-drive or extended hard drive. I cannot sync with my current iTunes, because that now possesses new files and music and I fear I will wipe out my entire iPod library and therefore replace it with existing iTunes library.

I merely was seeking a kind of software that would permit me to copy my iPod as is, and save those files, and possibly my 7-8 hundred playlists. I cannot seem to find any valuable resources through my searches. If anyone here knows a software that can do this.

Before my MAC crashed, I did find a software that would allow it, for a modest cost of only $19 or $25, but have forgotten the name and maker of that product. I would love anyone's help or suggestions in this matter.

Thank you all!

Senuti should do it - I'm pretty sure it will transfer what's on your iPod into iTunes and nothing on either the iPod or in iTunes will get wiped out - you should be able to transfer all your iPod songs (or just the ones you select) back into iTunes and have them join what you have already in iTunes, so you can have all your music in one place.

Senuti is like $20 or $25 or so, but well worth it. I've used it quite a few times in the past when getting a new computer and needing to get songs from my iPod into iTunes.

Thank you Puma. It looks like that is a Mac software. I need to reinstall my MacBook HDD - may look for a Windows type that has same capability.
